The APC Smart-UPS  is a high-performance, 5000VA / 5000W (5kVA / 5kW) Online Double-Conversion Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) designed for mission-critical applications in data centres, server rooms, and advanced IT environments. This online double-conversion UPS provides constant, clean, and pure sine wave power by continuously converting incoming AC power to DC and then back to AC.

The UPS boasts a versatile rack/tower convertible design (4U rack unit), allowing for flexible deployment in standard 19-inch server racks or as a standalone tower unit. Its robust construction and high power capacity are built to support demanding loads such as multiple servers, network switches, storage arrays, and other critical IT infrastructure.

Connectivity and management are central to this Smart-UPS. It comes with an embedded Network Management Card (NMC3) with environmental monitoring capabilities, allowing for comprehensive remote monitoring and management of the UPS via a network. This enables real-time alerts, graceful shutdowns of connected servers using PowerChute Network Shutdown software, and integration with centralized management platforms. Additional interface ports include RJ-45 Serial and USB, providing versatile communication options.

The unit features a user-friendly LCD graphical display that provides real-time status updates on operating modes, system parameters (like load and battery levels), and alarms, offering intuitive local management.
